Death Marketing-1Philip Morris Violating TC Law
Multinational tobacco giant, Philip Morris has been promoting its Marlboro brand all over the country using gaudy cigarette packs and decorated boxes that read, "No. 1 IN THE WORLD". The sole purpose of such flashy promotional campaign is to hook the youth into smoking by drawing their attention. It should be noted that the existing tobacco control law bans all sorts of advertisement and promotion of tobacco products and considers it a punishable offence. Strict implementation of the law must be ensured to put an end to such aggressive campaign. |
