Death Marketing-1Philip Morris Violating the Law
Philip Morris International (PMI) has, very recently, been promoting its cigarette brand, Marlboro with colorful boxes that read, "The Red Storm is Here" and "Full Flavor Meets Less Smell". The purpose of this new campaign, with attractive color and edgy texts, is to draw the attention of the youth and adolescents and hook them into smoking. The existing tobacco control law bans the advertisement and promotion of tobacco products at points of sale and considers violations as punishable offenses. Strict implementation of the law must be ensured to end all advertisements and promotions of tobacco products. |
