Death Marketing-1Abul Khair Tobacco Violating TC Law
Abul Khayer Tobacco Company Ltd. (AKTCL) has, very recently, been promoting its cigarette brand, MARISE with flashy danglers that read, "Same Flavor in New Pack". The purpose of this new campaign is to draw the attention of the youth, adolescents and low-income demographic. The existing tobacco control law bans the advertisement and promotion of tobacco products at points of sale and considers violations as punishable offenses. Strict implementation of the law must be ensured to end all advertisements and promotions of tobacco products. |
