Death Marketing-1BAT Violating the Law
British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB) has been promoting its DERBY brand using posters that contain a slogan reading "Fresh Flavor to Enjoy Break Together". The sole purpose behind this marketing strategy is to attract the attention of potential young and adolescent customers. The existing tobacco control law bans the advertisement and promotion of tobacco products at points of sale and considers violations as punishable offenses. The strict implementation of the law must be ensured to put an end to such advertising campaigns. |
